Webvizio turns feedback into tasks. Pincushion turns it into merged code.
Webvizio and Pincushion both start with a client pinning the live page. They differ in what happens next: Webvizio fills a task board; Pincushion hands your coding agent a work packet and records the commit, PR and verify trail on the same pin.
What Webvizio does well
Credit where it's due, because Webvizio is close to Pincushion on several points. Its site says you can collect visual feedback on top of web pages, report bugs with browser details, errors and steps captured automatically, and work on logged-in pages through a Chrome extension. Clients can give feedback through a shared link with no account or installation, and Webvizio works on any URL a browser can reach, including staging and localhost. Each piece of feedback becomes a task with due dates, priorities and status, reports sync to tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Trello and Slack, and it generates structured prompts for AI coding agents and connects to coding agents through an MCP server.
Where the model differs
Because the overlap is real, the honest difference is where the product centres. Webvizio is a project-management layer with an AI hand-off added: tasks, due dates and integrations to the trackers your team already uses. Pincushion treats the pin itself as the work packet and the agent as the main consumer: implement_approved_pins returns pins grouped by page, claim_pin marks the work in progress, and fix_and_resolve writes the commit SHA, branch and PR URL back to the pin. On Pro, the deploy hook links the live deploy and Pincushion AI checks the fix.
Pincushion also stays out of the way of your tracker: it is not a Jira or Linear replacement, and it does not try to be a task manager.
- Free client pins from a link. Share a report link and reviewers pin the real page with just a name, no account or install on projects open to feedback. Collaborators never pay.
- The agent work packet. Each pin carries the selector, DOM snippet, screenshot, viewport, thread and project context, readable over MCP by Cursor, Claude Code or Codex.
- The commit, PR and verify trail.
fix_and_resolverecords the commit SHA, branch and PR URL on the pin, and the client sees what shipped on the pin they left.
How they differ
| Pincushion | Webvizio | |
|---|---|---|
| Who leaves feedback | Clients, PMs and teammates from a link — free and unlimited | Clients via a shared link, no account or install |
| Works on logged-in, staging and local pages | Yes (extension or script tag) | Yes (Chrome extension; any URL a browser can reach) |
| Unit of work | Pin as agent work packet | Task with due date, priority and status |
| Agent integration | MCP: read, claim, resolve | Structured prompts and an MCP server |
| Commit SHA, branch and PR recorded on the feedback | Yes, via fix_and_resolve | Not described |
| Post-deploy check of the fix | Yes (Pro) | Not described |
| Files beyond web pages | No — live web apps only | Images, PDFs and design files |
Both tools get the client's pin into your hands. Pincushion also closes the loop: the pin ends with a commit, a PR and a verdict.
When Webvizio is the better fit
If you want feedback to flow into a task board with due dates and priorities, sync to Jira or ClickUp, or review images and PDFs alongside websites, Webvizio is built for that. Pincushion is the better fit when the agent is the implementer and you want the commit, PR and deploy trail recorded on the pin the client left.
Use both, or start free
The two do not conflict technically, but most teams will want a single place for feedback. The free plan covers one project with unlimited manual pins and 25 AI actions a month, and reviewers never need a paid seat. Every new account starts with a 14-day full-Pro trial — no card required. See the loop in Cursor, Claude Code or Codex, or compare with Marker.io and Userback. All comparisons are on the alternatives overview.
