Client feedback for web agencies, pinned to the live site.
Every agency knows the revision round that starts with an emailed screenshot and "can we make this pop a bit more?" Pincushion lets your client click the element they mean, on the real staging or live site, and leave the note there. You get the page, the element, a screenshot and the viewport with every comment.
Why agency feedback rounds drag
- Notes lose context. A cropped screenshot doesn't say which page, which breakpoint or which state.
- Feedback is scattered. Email, chat, call notes and a shared doc each hold a piece of the same round.
- Per-seat tools tax the client. Asking every client stakeholder for an account slows the round before it starts.
How it works for an agency
- Register the client site. Sign up, create a project and register the staging and production URLs. You are the one builder; on a paid plan, one project per client keeps threads separate (the free plan covers one project; see pricing).
- Invite the client as a commenter. Create an invite link and send it. The client opens it, enters a name and email, and joins as a commenter. Commenters are free and unlimited.
- The client pins the live page. They click the exact element and type the note. Each pin stores the URL, selector, a screenshot, the viewport and the thread, so nobody asks "which button?".
- Triage and approve. Reply on the pin, then approve what is in scope. Approval is the gate: only approved pins go to implementation, so out-of-scope requests don't slip into the sprint.
- Fix and show the result. Your developer, or their coding agent over MCP, works through the approved pins page by page and records the commit, branch and PR on each pin. Send the client a read-only share report link to see status, no account needed.
What the client sees
They see their own page with numbered pins and the threads on them, not a ticket tracker. Pincushion is not a Jira or Linear replacement and doesn't try to be a contract or sign-off system. It is the layer between "the client noticed something" and "a developer has a fix-ready work packet".
